Changes in technology are so fast that professions can not always catch up. Translation practice is no exception. Regarding the fact that multimedia translation is so attached to the developments in technology, the gap between the realities of the market and the facilities of training centers and knowledge of trainers is an important issue. In fact what competencies the future translators need is itself of much concern.
Keeping in mind that Multimedia translation is the fastest updated area in the field of Translation Studies, one may say the sooner the techniques and expertise needed for the profession classified, the better quality of the product and the better teaching it will result in.
